Predenominational

Though not part of a denomination, our church is part of a fellowship of independent churches within Christianity, known as the Restoration Movement, with the conviction that a divided Christianity is hampered in bringing the world to Christ, which is the Great Commission He gave us.

Core Beliefs

“In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, love.”

The Bible serves as our only authority in matters of faith and practice. Only that which is expressly taught in the Scriptures can be made conditions of fellowship and obligation. While we do not hesitate to teach sound doctrine, and the “whole will of God” (Titus 2:1, Acts 20:27), we have no formal man-made creed to which members are required to subscribe.

Because we seek to restore the unity of the early church, we do no take “official” positions on many of the issues that tend to divide Christians unnecessarily. In disputable areas where we hold convictions that cause disagreement, we are free to do so graciously (Romans 14:1, 4, 12, 22;1 Corinthians 13:2).

What were the essential, unifying beliefs of the early church? The Apostle Paul outlines the foundations of our “oneness”: Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.Ephesians 4:3-6

Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters…Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls…So then each of us will give an account of himself to God…So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God.Romans 14:1, 4, 12, 22

If I have…all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.1 Corinthians 13:2

…speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.Ephesians 4:15
